Our Firm

Since we opened our doors in 1979, the evolution to Barresi Financial/Barresi Benefits Group has been successful due to our constant goal to provide our clients with the highest level of service and products. To accomplish this, we work hard to maintain focus in a fast paced environment by building a professional staff and establishing relationships with other specialty firms to assure high quality service. Our rapid growth is due to recent innovations distinguishes us from competitors in the marketplace.

 

We have added several unique services that have become an intricate part of our firm. In 1997 we added the position of Nurse Advocate to our staff. This was a new and innovative direction for a firm in our industry to undertake, and we were one of the first in Maine to take that step. The purpose of this position is to assist clients/patients as they go through difficult claims issues and need a person to represent their interests.

 

October of 2000 brought another addition to our firm. We continued with our expansion by opening an office in Bangor, Maine to provide services and products to this market area. With the transaction and hard work, our client base grew to over 180 groups and over 1500 individual clients.

 

Between 2000 and 2005, we acquired four small practices throughout Maine to increase the number of clients which we service. In 2003, we started a self-funded department to handle large group accounts with self-insurance. We continue to grow throughout Maine and look for innovative ways to help our clients grow as well.

 

Our staff has developed to a group of eleven quality professionals who take great pride in their work and have tremendous respect for their clients. Our employees continue to improve their knowledge and abilities through continuing education and real life experiences. These efforts assist our firm in implementing our motto: “Expertise with Integrity”. This is not only our firm’s motto, but also our true belief. We have developed a strong commitment to our clients, which has allowed our firm to be successful and continue to grow.
